Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how VR Gammon, LLC collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use VR Gammon, a visionOS backgammon app (the "App").

By using the App, you understand that the App sends certain gameplay and operational data to the service's servers as a required part of providing the service. There is no opt-out from this core telemetry while continuing to use the App. If you do not want this information processed, do not use the App.

1. Information Collected

A. Player and profile information

  • A player identifier
  • A display name, if you choose to set one
  • Plan, entitlement, or feature quota status

B. Device, app, and session information

  • Device model
  • Operating system name and version
  • Locale
  • App version and engine version
  • Session identifiers
  • Session start, end, and last-seen timestamps
  • Other device and client metadata sent by the App

C. Gameplay and game-state information

  • Game identifiers, session identifiers, and series identifiers
  • Game creation, finish, and abandonment timestamps
  • Game mode, wager mode, stake amount, match length, difficulty, cube settings, Jacoby setting, home side, and similar game options
  • Current and historical game state needed to save, resume, finish, and analyze games
  • Position identifiers, turn indexes, checkpoints, finish records, and related gameplay records
  • Serialized game records, content hashes, and related storage metadata

D. Gameplay analytics and performance information

  • Move and cube error totals
  • Accuracy and grading metrics
  • Luck and probability-related metrics
  • Move, roll, streak, and dice statistics
  • Derived stats used for game review, debugging, balancing, product improvement, and leaderboards

E. Virtual wallet and gameplay economy records

  • Virtual in-app balances
  • Ledger entries
  • Stakes, payouts, refunds, resign costs, and settlement records
  • Related timestamps and references needed to keep balances and outcomes accurate

Any balance or stake units shown in the App are virtual in-app units only. They are not cryptocurrency, fiat currency, or redeemable cash value.

F. Reliability, security, and debugging information

  • Request idempotency keys
  • Request method and path
  • HTTP status and response metadata
  • Integrity, anti-duplication, and audit records
  • Optional anti-abuse or randomness-audit records, if used

2. Information Not Collected

  • Information about your use of other apps or websites
  • Hand tracking telemetry
  • Eye tracking telemetry

The App may rely on visionOS input features to function, but VR Gammon, LLC does not collect, store, or use hand tracking or eye tracking data for analytics, advertising, or profiling.

3. How Information Is Used

  • Create and maintain player sessions
  • Save, sync, restore, and finish games
  • Provide gameplay features and analysis
  • Calculate scores, accuracy metrics, grades, stats, and leaderboards
  • Maintain virtual balances, stakes, payouts, settlements, refunds, and related records
  • Enforce quotas, subscriptions, or feature access
  • Prevent duplicate, corrupted, or inconsistent requests and transactions
  • Detect bugs, crashes, reliability issues, cheating, fraud, and abuse
  • Improve performance, game balance, and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce the Terms

4. How Information Is Shared

Information may be shared with vendors and service providers that host, store, process, secure, or support the App for VR Gammon, LLC, such as cloud hosting, database, and storage providers.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process, or government request, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, users, or integrity of the App.

VR Gammon, LLC does not sell personal information to data brokers and does not use App data to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.

5. Data Retention

VR Gammon, LLC retains player, session, game, telemetry, virtual wallet, and debugging records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the App, preserve game state and service integrity, investigate bugs and disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, improve the App, and comply with legal, accounting, or enforcement obligations.

In practice, some core records may be retained for the life of the service, and some information may remain in backups or archives for a period of time after deletion or account closure.

6. Your Choices

Core gameplay and operational telemetry is required for the App to work. There is no in-app setting to disable that data collection while continuing to use the App.

You may stop using the App at any time. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of data associated with your player identifier, contact contact@vrgammon.com. Certain records may be retained where needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or legal compliance.

7. Leaderboards and Public Display

If you choose a display name, that display name and related gameplay results may appear in leaderboards or similar public in-app features.

8. Security

Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures are used designed to protect stored information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When that happens, VR Gammon, LLC will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date.
